The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has congratulated the immediate past governor of Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, on his 65th birthday, saying his performance as a two-term governor remains a reference point and a source of pride to the APC.
In his letter to the former labour leader, Tinubu said the way Oshiomhole, who clocked 65 on Tuesday, segued from trade unionism to party politics was indeed a unique one, which he said was made more notable by his emergence as a governor.
Tinubu said even though he wasn’t born with a silver spoon, Oshiomole worked hard and rose through the ranks, with sheer determination and hard work, to establish himself as “the most outstanding labour leader in contemporary times.”
The letter, according to a statement on Friday by Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, partly read, “I most certainly speak the minds of millions of members of our great party when I say that your outstanding performance as two-term governor of Edo State from 2008 to 2016 remains a reference point and a source of pride to the All Progressives Congress.”
Tinubu added that Oshiomole still had a lot to contribute to the nation, adding that “At 65, you still brim with energy, dynamism and vibrancy while your mind continues to bubble with ideas ever so useful for national development.
